The Beat Technique Education story....

The Beat Technique education learning resource was born out of a clear need observed over a decade of teaching music in schools. 

Since 2012, I noticed a recurring gap in music education .

Many teachers lacked the knowledge or experience to effectively teach DJing, beatboxing, rapping, and music production. 

These vital contemporary music skills were often overlooked in traditional curriculums. In 2023, I was approached by WJEC/EDUQAS to write and deliver content specifically focused on "How to Mark" these areas for the GCSE Music performance assessment. This opportunity inspired me to create Beat Technique, a comprehensive resource designed to bridge the gap, empower teachers, and support students in mastering modern music techniques for GCSE success.
